The Pre-Med Hub was created by students for students. This is a space where pre-med students, or simply students interested in medicine & healthcare can get free, easily accessible resources to help them learn and become more knowledgeable about the world of medicine. The Pre-Med Hub has sourced quality resources, experiences, and connections for your ease. And most importantly, we created this space to connect students and build a global community founded on a common passion, medicine.

A letter from the founders
why was the PRE-MED HUB created?
Dear Reader,
It was winter break, 2020, and everything was still online due to COVID-19. Both of us were trying to figure out how to spend our time productively and find ways to gain experience in the medical field.

Our search for online opportunities fell flat. In the 30+ tabs open, none of them were relevant, recent, or available during COVID-19. Navigating the mazes of the internet to find quality resources was time-consuming and complex. Over time, we were able to create our own database of resources that we shared with each other. Eventually, we realized this problem was not unique to us, but one shared by many.

At the same time, when we attended these events we were moved by the topics of discussion because they opened our minds to the medical world. However, we noticed there were low attendance rates despite these events being open to the public. So we asked "why aren't more people attending these events?"
One positive outcome of this pandemic is that exclusive events that were previously only available to students who were fortunate enough to attend elite colleges are now widely available to the public. With so many opportunities available for free and widely accessible during a time when information is not just an advantage but a necessity, we felt that more people should be involved. These events that are created for people to listen to shouldn't require anyone to scour the internet just to find them.

So, we created this space on the internet, removing the obstacles we encountered. Here, we hope to inspire and encourage more students to get involved without feeling overwhelmed. This website is the formalized version of our database created for the pre-med community.
